When a woman you love has cancer, you begin an unexpected journey together into challenging and uncharted territory. In a crisis, women reach out to give and receive emotional support. They are less often good at asking directly for specific kinds of help. Men, however, excel at doing concrete tasks, they fix things.
The Partners In Survival is a 2 hour workshop that provides tools and step-by-step guidance to help you navigate this difficult terrain together. This Workshop teaches a proven program for problem solving from the American College of Physician’s, “Home Care Guide to Cancer”. Specific emphasis is placed on helping men understand the physical and emotional needs of their female partners.
Creativity - identify problems and brainstorm multiple solutions
Optimism - focus on the positive possibilities
Planning - start with small manageable steps
Expertise - gather expert information to help you choose the most realistic options
Suggested Donation $25.00 however we will gratefully accept what ever amount you are able to contribute to the Center.
